Excellent, excellent band. Their new album is majestic, emotional, dark, joyous, too many things wrapped into one.
It's one of those albums you don't want to tell people about in a way. I think I only listen to it by myself or with my girlfriend.
Definatly check out Mogwai, and Godspeed You Black Emperor. Also look for some stuff called Boxhead Ensamble, it's a live recording (a few versions available) all instrumental from a screening across Europe of a silent documentary about an Alaskan fishing village. Never seen the video but the cd is amazing, good sleeping music.
I kick myself daily for missing Sigur Ros when they were last in Chicago, and they're not coming here on the current tour.
