good/bad seems to be a personal opinion
the things you listed about yh are things i don't like. a user should never be able to fuck up formatting with images, html etc.
that was a big problem at http://gnn.tv/ with the comment systems but to no avail a happy medium was accomplished though i still don't think images belong in comment boxes
