    Took me a long time to get into running at the gym, start easy and build up to a reasonable pace otherwise you'll suffer so badly you'll be put off in a few outings.

    You might think you're not achieving much initially but if you're not in great shape or out of practice then start slowly and build up to a reasonable run/distance.

    Running doesn't work for everyone though. For example, it doesn't really work for me because I have asthma. So I do other stuff, like walking a lot, or doing short bursts of activities/sports.
