... the money that would need to be spent is insane.
They're GREAT ideas though, dobs... and I agree AND WISH that they could all happen.
This is the 'convservative' part of me coming out now... NOT THE SELFISH, GREEDY RACIST... which... unfortunetly is where the left always runs with this shit... god forbid you look at the facts...
as a conservative - I'm not willing to let alllll that money just flow into these programs... because... I don't trust a beaucracy with all this power AND MY HARD-EARNED MONEY.
Yes... that's probably HARSH, dobs... but I have MY MOTHER AND FATHER to take care of in the future...
THAT'S NOT YOUR FUCKING JOB. I don't expect you to be over my house changing my Dad's bedpan - that's my job... or the job of someone I can hire to help out...
... that's how my PARENTS trained me. They brought me up to look out for the family - be smart and resourceful... and to love my fellow man - WITHIN REASON.
If my fellow man depends on my money - well... sorry... I just don't think it's right that YOU depend on me... and it's even WORSE that you almost DEMAND I take care of you or your mother.
I'm not a socialist... as you can very well tell. Socialism requires too much beaucratic collaboration... it's too idealistic and very unrealistic given we live w/capitalism and religion. I wish socialism COULD exist... but it won't... ever... unless you got rid of the desire for personal growth and uniqueness.
If that makes me a racist or a hater of my fellow-man... then I am what I am I guess.
