Pricing For Bands?

Didn't read all the responses yet, but I can tell you this...your prices are waaaay too high for these small bands you speak of.
I've been there before. Unless its your friend or a group you admire, its really just not worth it to work with these type of people because they are total flakes and you always wind up having to settle for less $$$. I must have gotten the "we just spent 2.5K in the studio and have no money" excuse from 5 different bands before. Once I hear that I let em down nice and easy and point them to templatemonster.
Then again...it does give you a chance to have nearly total creative freedom and a potentially awesome site that's totally your own in your portfolio so for those reasons it can be worth it.
I guess just don't go into the deal expecting to make very much. Don't get me wrong I think your prices are totally fair (probably low even) but it seems to me that most bands won't drop more than $500 for a website.
