a) if a typeface is so meaningless why would you start a thread, I dunno about you but id say typeface selection is a pretty important aspect of any project.
b) if you don't give a shit about what other people think of avant garde, why did you start this thread in the first place?

If you re-read my initial post you will realize that I wanted to find out the reasons why the typeface was hated so much, I wasnt asking for peoples opinions.
Sure when it comes to design the right typeface is important but in the grand scheme of things its meaningless.
