Must it be a laptop? If you build a PC Desktop you get maximum value. This is the spec sheet I put together when I was considering what parts to buy. All parts are compatable:

I ended up spending like 2K USD on it, but I was being mr. moneybags at the time. IF anything, make sure you get the motherboard. All the other goodies can come in time.
