you have create a LAN (local area network) first I guess.
What i just did here with the three pc's at home is create a LAN in my main desktop using win xp and the network setup wizard.
This simple process then created a few files that I copied into a floppy disk and installed those files in my laptop and my gf's laptop.
It was very simple really.
The Wireless connection has nothing to do with this. Our laptops run wirelessly and the desktop is of course is connected with cable all the time. We just run everything through a D-link router.
