I think it's more for monson's profile/recognition than yours.
Horton has got the right idea. What company is going to pay a designer for a line of graphics when they can pick a grand or so in raw materials/labour?
that said,if you're in the industry, you ought to be able to design circles around the joe-blows submitting designs to this contest... and if you can't, well it was bound to happen one way or another.
The top prize seems a bit on the stingy side this year. maybe with more sponsorship they can improve the pot.
