I think this is all getting a little out of hand. I would tell the man this "You have a swastika on your door, I know this is a religious symbol of yours, and you are welcome to leave it up if you like. However, a lot of people might get the wrong idea, because a swastika also symbolizes the following (if you didn't know)."
Seriously, I wouldn't be suprised if his door gets vandalized.
Maybe this guy knows the double meaning and that he is haning the most divisive symbol of all time on his door, maybe he doesn't.
