I've never really just done the comps for a project, but I've had people do them for me and have been charged anywhere from a few hundred for just a home page layout to up to 3 or 4 k for a hom page, secondary page, PSD, and the coding of the two pages. With ranges all in between.
I offer a client 2 original comps and when they pick the one they like, I quote on X amount of revisions. With the first round of deliverable revisions I give them a secondary page.
