It's funny though, each country takes claim to these regional foods. My Syrian buddy swears and get's pissed if I say it's Lebanese food. hahah funny stuff.
Him: "A gyro isn't Greek or Macedonian, it's Syrian!!"
same goes for Baklava, etc.
