I've a friend who used to work for IBM in Portsmouth. They got "strikes". If you accidentally left a fax or a print out on your desk without filing it or shredding it, you'd come into the work the next day to find a strip of bright yellow "VIOLATION" tape tapped accross your desk. You'd then have to go explain yourself before removing the tape and going back to work.
