I use the Maxtor (can be found cheaper elsewhere):
http://www.maxstore.com/product.…I use it as a MP3 server 24/7 and thought I'd use it more often between my PC and Mac, but the network is fast enough for most of my stuff, so I rarely use it on the PC...
I never hear the drive, I've had it for over a year now and it seems to work just fine.
