I have to say that i agree with many of the points that you made. in fact i wasn't necessarily dismissing the ad out of hand... i mean, it is pretty to look at and it conveys the message effectively. by many definitions, that is a successful ad.
My main point is that there is no transparency. I find that not knowing if it's a rip, a collaboration or what leaves a bad taste in my mouth... is it viral marketing or a lazy ass art director? who can tell at this point? Again, you stated your case very effectively, but unless you have ties that i am unaware of, at this time it's pure conjecture. And that's totally cool. In fact i'm enjoying this discussion, so please don't miss read my intent... but that we are discussing this with something of a negative bent makes me wonder how we got here, but accident or by design?
