well i wanted to make sure it worked in b&w, the color comes in the application of the mark.
in terms of her art we could have stencils of the mark which would allow her to change the colors in according to the tone of the piece. for collateral she could change the colors according to the seasons maybe. christmas cards could use christmas colors, etc.
