web on mobiles is still slow and ropey. you definitely need a lot of patience with the technology thats available today.
we did a website earlier this year for a company called Picsel http://www.picsel.com/
they are developing some awesome web technology for phones/PDAs/in car systems etc.
The Picsel browser supports flash and the UI is very slick. their platform also supports software like Word etc and you can add plugins to run allsorts of other software. i beleive it works like building blocks.Picsel OS and browser capabilities are available on certain phones on the market at the moment. Their site has a list of all the hardware that their platform is available on.
These guys are really forward thinking and constantly pushing boundaries. Was amazing going to their offices to see all the new stuff and phone UI's/Navigations etc they were working on.
The company was born in Scotland but is now worldwide. good to see scotland leading in a future technology :)
