Are you moving out at the end of a lease, or are you breaking a lease? If it's the latter, I can understand wanting to have it as legal as possible-but it still doesn't take away from the fact that you are breaking a written and signed legal contract, and even with 30 day notice, you can be held responsible for a variety of things, not the least of which is paying rent on the unit AFTER you've moved out UNTIL they are able to rent it to a new tenant. This is possible, so find out what the stipulations are in the lease that you signed before nailing yourself to a wall.
