you need a third party software to open the file from the client's computer or you need to put your CD into Director and director has a API that allows you to open files from the client's computer.
Now, I dont know if you could force the Excel file to save itself once it is open.
When you say "saved into repeatedly" you mean that the Excel file has to be saved into while it is open, or do you mean that it has to be saved into everytime is lauched?
