Well the bottom line is this:
If you know about computers, I mean REALLY know about computers and you need the freedom to set every single piece of your system to your liking definitely go with PC. On the other hand if you don't know shit about computers in general, go with the Mac. That's the main difference between the two. That's why Macs are so loved, because they are made for people that don't care about all those things you can do with PC and which don't wanna bother with expandability of a PC. Performance wise they are pretty much equal with PC holding a bit of advantage since it has a larger and faster hardware support. Mac do look nice and they are in because of it, but that design comes with the hefty price tag. Of course during this time PC evolved significantly in appearance as well as in the operating system field. Windows XP truly works nice and PCs are starting to look cool too (example: http://www.alienware.com/worksta…)
