"when you say "interviewed" or "tried to get work here" does that you you personally are trying to get hired by a company?"
I mostly mean trying to get work subcontracted from agencies, etc.

Good point. Being in a relatively smaller market I guess I assumed that it matters what other firms perception is of you, etc.
