Thanks BuddhaHat, it's very reassuring to know that aussies aren't trigger happy. I wasn't quite sure about it.
Pretty much full moon tonight - may give it a go :)
Strategy:
1. Don one full length Ninja Suit
2. Hide in bushes when opportunity presents itself.
3. Peddle like the bejesus when burly aussie comes out to investigate.
4.Yell, "g'day maaate, howyagoin" to hopefully deter a chase scenario.
5. Not!You're right though - I'll try to be as friendly as possible under the circumstances.
