thanks for the ideas.
people are so much more paranoid these days which makes me a bit nervous about carrying through with this idea. anyone know if gun ownership is the norm in Australia? i haven't been here long enough to know.
i think a combo of stealth and a flyer explaining what i'm doing (if I get 'caught') might do the trick. also, i plan to do it all by bicycle (cover more ground than walking), which should help with the getaway aspect if necessary.
asking permission is in theory the best and safest way, but it will take too long I think to go through the process and it'd get painful to have to explain myself for every photo.
