1. i would move the whole thing up to the top more. For those very few users on 800X600.
2. the rounded corners and angled corner arent worrking together becasue the angle has sharp points. Corners are too big I would chuck them or make them alot smaller as stated above.
3. I'm not feeling the gradients.
4. I thnk all these pieces need to be tighter. They seem too far a part like puzzle pieces that don't fit together.
**I say get rid or the corner angle. Now that I look at it more they are distraction me for the copy and the nav. **
maybe you could extend that clak box all the way and put the login in the blackbox. chuch the rounded inputboxs on the login too.
Good start but I thnk these things may help you a bit. keep workig it until you can look at it and be proud.
