sorry to drag on like this arseni, but this is something that is very important to me.
i would seriously investigate who makes the Eizo monitors, if they do not make them themselves. there are many good deals out there in contenporary designed wrappers that have generic, cheap guts to them.
The Apple monitors (especially the new ones) are phenominal and display just about the *truest* color out there. The LaCie's arrre very good as well. They have some issues w/ their noise reduction if i remember correctly, but overall are well made and last.
Another to consider are the wide-format Dell monitors suprisingly. They are the exact same internals as the Apple's save the glass and other hardward configurations.
