just a heads up... LCD still can't compete. (maybe next year?)

(Oct 7 05, 21:07)this is absolutely dead wrong information. LCDs can easily compete, and in fact ANY color specialist or digital workflow house will tell you exactly the opposite.
LCDs have much truer color accuracy, noise reduction, and striation characteristics than 99% of all CRTs out there for their entire lifespan. Yes, CRTs will be dead-on accurate.... for 10-12 months.after this there is not a CRT on the market that will even be remotely close. they may appear to be so, but the proof is out there- they do not measure anywhere close to LCDs after this time.
if you are in it only for a 12 month period, CRTs are fine. if you don't want to continue purchasing monitors though, an LCD is the way to go.
