  in holland at the moment:

  1 liter = 1.45 Euro = 1.73 USD
  1 gallon = 4.55 liter

  so that's 7.87 USD / gallon here in the Netherlands when i calculated it right.

  did you say you paid 16 USDollar for a gallon?
  or Australian dollars?

  with what did you fill it up by the way?
