We had a total squirrel infestation in our house one year, and the landlady decided to fix the problem. She's one of those off-the-boat WW2 polish immigrants, and pretty old school. Even though it's illegal in massachusetts, she put out poison for them. So, within a week, no more squirrel problem. But now we had a rotting squirrel carcass problem. The only way to locate those suckers was either to follow the smell or follow the flies. The last one we found was stuck in a gutter. I tried to grab it by the tail and pull it out, and ended up pulling the entire pelt off, with this totally grotesque pink swollen carcass still sitting there. To top it off, it was covered in maggots.
Needless to say i excused myself to the bathroom and beat one out.
