the bora over here (germany) is seen as far from hip. it's for people that can't afford a passat, and passat's themselves are seen as a very conservative choice. the image of vw in germany is totally different then the usa. its a reliable, conservative choice. not hip at all - except for the new beetle which i believe was designed in california.
the mini is an incredibly big yuppie car. kind of like what the vw is like in the usa.
looks like mini is going to have to find a new agency because there is definitely a conflict of interest if vw is also in the same creative shop as mini.
