Hehe, funny, i was born in Amersfoort in lived 8 years in Delft. Now Amsterdam, and a lot more stuff happens here.
For work, Amsterdam and Rotterdam are your best bet.
Housing in Amsterdam and Utrecht can be difficult to find (and expensive), other cities are fairly easy.
Tourists can be annoying in A'dam, but i can avoid them most of the time.The dutch designers union has an employment-page:

http://www.delijst.net/delijst/g…Working permit can be difficult to obtain, it takes 3 months at least. Don't know of any companies that will gladly help you out with that. Most foreigners that come work here are from the EU, so the permits are not needed.
