I'd go for Chiro. Short term I'm doing a 12 week course, long term taking up Tai Chi, swimming sorting out my posture. I was horrified that my movement is really restricted..ie the basics like touching toes. So strengthening the "core" area will definetly help.
I was kinda distraught when I went to the chiro, after the xrays (which were bad) they give the impression that you'll be a regular (expensive) visitor for the rest of your life. Thats why I really would suggest trying to address the possible causes.
Good luck.
