I'm inclined to disagree. I think the first looks a bit amatuerish, a bit low rent. The second is slicker, more contemporary but needs work.
Have a think about this: ditch the drop shadow and beef up the type, lose the blue square and try placing the first two thought bubbles where the 'o's in the type (which are conveniently diagonal from one another)
