A things to watch for:
1. You're gonn have to worry about things like white balance with a digicam-- ther are a few more techincal aspects to worry about over film, so if you thought it was difficult before, you're going to want to take some time to learn the in's and out's of digital photogrpahy.2. like the other comsumer DSLR's the Pentax has a focal-length ratio of 1.6:1.0.
That means any of your old lenses will shoot 1.6x the focal length-- only the pro camera's have an equivalent ratio to film, and they're $10K, at least.
3. Lastly, pentax has been on a bit of a downward spiral for the past 5-7 years, and technologiacally speaking, they're a few steps behind both canon and nikon-- I'd recommend researching the equivalent cameras from each company-- you're likely to get better software and the digital rebel is a decent price now, though if you're looking at a working camera, I'd suggest the 20D at the very least.Good Luck
