One of my first interviews was in Long Island, NY and the guy who was the owner of a small company by thumbing casually through my book while talking on the phone. He then tried to negotiate a very low salary. I don't remember what it was, but I didn't have a design job, hated my job and still told him he was too low. It was so obvious what a load he was. I would never have worked for him.
