    If part of your job is to increase sales, then you can probably ask for commission/bonus. Say sales increase by 30% then you should get a 5-10% commission/bonus for driving up sales. that way everyone wins.

    make sure you iron out the details before signing a contract. So that they won't screw you over come time for the bonus cheques.

    Or ask for increase every 3 - 6 months or after performance reviews. Make sure that is in the contract too and specify the amount in percentages if possible.
