looks like pixel aspect ratio is set to a ... different pixel aspect ratio.
go to composition settings and choose pixel aspect ratio: then there is a dropdown menu with differnent options, so, try to figure out which one they used, and THEN place your footage on the stage. you dig?
otherwise, your footage will just get squished or pulled
