    yeah most places would rather not hire interns because they probably had bad experiences or they don't have time to train.

    What you should do is come up with a proposal and sell yourself to the company of choice. Show them what benefits you can bring them. Like your design skills, creativity, etc. Make sure you let them know you love to learn and very enthusiatic.

    Make sure you talk to the CD not HR. HR people are morons.
