swolenelbow I have been right there. Pride.
You are in a terrific position. Find the right intern. Someone like you in that thay put an effort forth. They don't have to know shit as long as they have your work ethic. Someone who you can trust.
Putting someone on is like building an army for yourself. An army that you can take with you as you move up, change jobs, etc.
Be honest about what you can pay, but if you can create some opportunity and lighten your load you will have a footsoldier.
I started as an intern and have worked several different jobs at lots of cool places 'with' the guy who gave me an internship.
It has too be someone you trust.
