    definately go for the raise but 25%?!? man, if you pull that off nice work.

    aim for the 25% but have some paperwork behind you. maybe your job spec and what you do for the company listed. maybe a 'what i can do for you in the future" kind of thing also. approach it as a pitch and put some effort into it. they probably wont give you 25% but if you do it in a business-like way you might impress them enough to come the the party closer. always aim high but have a fallback % and possibly other things planned (benefits or bonuses which will please you and not cost them to much).
