I think the advice to clean the fan was the best idea! The comp I am on at the moment is an AMD and its running @ 68 degrees C, and the fan is only running @ 3000rpm. All modern processors have built in thermal protection at around 90-95 deg C, so I wouldn't worry.
It's just having to work hard cos of the weather. And don't take the side off, that just voids the design of the case and prevents air from flowing properly through the case. In my machine i have a casefan front and back and one on the side, to encourage good airflow over the vital components.
Keeping the fans relatively dust free is the only thing to worry about!
