I actually live about 15 minutes from CMU. It's a GREAT, GREAT school. If you are accepted into this prestigious school I would for sure take them up on it if I were you. There are many famous people that have come out of that school in the past, design wise I don't know that much about what they are doing. Personally, recently I had three interviews to work with their multimedia/sound department on a federally funded project called Virtual Agora. I didn't get it but was shortlisted. That's a tough one. I have a friend whos father works in their drama/theatre department and he loves it and meets famous actors all the time. Didn't a guy from the writer of Chicago just win an Oscar and went to that school. PS, it's literally like 2 minutes from University of Pittsburgh, so really their schools are combined on a lot of things and you have the Carnegie Museums and library system hooked up to it to.
