andover. i lived there for one semester in college. it's a little country town, very cute. just take a drive down some back roads and see where it takes you [assuming you have a car]. there's some great little flea markets and drive-in theaters around there. it's very much kind of stuck in the past.
as far as bookshops, there's a good shop called 'untitled' on prince street [ 159 prince street, tel. 212 982 2088 ] that i like.
