Biography
Maria is a 4th-year Mass Communications and Global Studies student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She currently works as a part time graphic designer at the Associated Students of UCLA Marketing department, creating logos, flyers, posters, illustrations, and signage.
She is also the editor in chief of Pacific Ties, a Los Angeles based Asian Pacific Islander magazine. In 2008, she launched the magazine’s first venture onto online publication, blogging, and social networking sites. She also creates all of the magazines layouts, infographics, and themes centered around social change and cultural awareness.
In the past, she has interned for Focus Features, an art house film company of NBC Universal, and worked on films such as Eastern Promises, Lust, Caution, and Talk to Me.
