      Biography

      Andrio Abero is a graduate from the Art Institute of Seattle who worked at Electronic Arts and established his own studio, 33rpm, in 2000. Andrio's work relies heavily on the screenprinting process and has been featured in numerous publications, and many national exhibitions. Publications include: Print and Seattle Sound magazine, Die Gestalten Verlag, and How Design books. Exhibitions including Museum of Design in Atlanta 'Graphic Noise', Seattle's Experience Music Project Northwest poster retrospective 'Paper Scissors ROCK', the Galleries of the Texas Tech School of Art's 'Graphic Content', Washington D.C.'s Transformer Gallery 'Gleaming The Screen', New Orleans' Radici Gallery 'Visual Aid', as well as the American Poster Institute's 'Flatstock' 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10. Notable awards include 1st place in 'AltPick Awards' 2004, 2005 & 2007, the Art Directors Club of New York's 'Young Guns 4' awards, and was semi-finalist in the New York Cut & Paste design tournament. Andrio helped found a public screen-printing program and facility at the Vera Project, a non-profit music and art center for youth, where he taught printing while continuing to produce award-winning work for Seattle's vibrant music scene. Andrio now lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
