Take back the curated home featured sites, this time not only design but politics and all other themes are hot in the qbn-forum
- it's here: http://www.qbn.com/t…sted
- O_O OMG!
Thanks @stedGabriel - I don't know that we should use NT for political topics, though, there's already an overabundance of it outside the Politics thread.Continuity
- sted0
Add wallgif.com to the banned urls list please.
- Hm? Why?Continuity
- because it creates black-holes in the GAT threadsted

- 'review asians' loldetritus

Suggestion to users:
Consider perhaps holding off from -1'ing people's whose opinions, political or otherwise, you might otherwise disagree with when they post submissions to threads like "Show some recent work".
it saddens me seeing some patently-interesting stuff get -3'd just because it's Georges or whoever posting.
Cunts!
x
- of course, if you think the work's shit, -1 it down to hell.detritus
- 10 bux says you just made it worse :)PonyBoy
- I agree, it's bullshitset
- well I agree and I don't use that behavior myself. and when it comes to georges, he has a great work. fact.oey
- with all due respect, what are you referring to? maybe i missed something, but I don't see any posts with negative counts in the recent work threadmonospaced
- it happens a lot, and Georges' last post went down to -3 before i wrote that. Annoyingly it went back to zero after, hahadetritus
- I went back 120 posts at least, and the only instance of a negative count is for since1979 and omg ... Georges is consistently highly upvoted in factmonospaced
- omg didn't even post work at all, and since1979 I don't think has a strong opinion like you're referring tomonospaced
- He did say threads 'like' the SSRW thread, mono. That poison spills out of the politics thread and right into all the other threads in the form of DVs daily.PonyBoy
- Well, yeah, because every time I see georges' or whoever stuff downvoted i use my two accounts to upvote it!detritus
- it is my perception that this happens, as too set's apparently. if it is not yours, then no worries — with all due respect, move along :)detritus
- It's common to see Georges DVed outside of the politics thread...heavily DVed at that.PonyBoy
- my 2 cents. being a condescending prick then posting work, insights, or otherwise expecting positive results is a bit silly.
cunts.kona - He can be a condescending prick, yes —
i'll absolutely not disagree. But i don't see how that rationalises arbitrary negative votes. That's not the higher path.detritus - I see.monospaced
- I never ever downvote recent work thread - never have. It's rude.fadein11
- +1 fadein — it is indeed 'rude'.detritus
- ^ same fadein. I don't give a crap who posts, it's the most inspiring thread here by far.kona
- but crying over downvotes is also a little bit immature imhofadein11
- Doesn't -1'ing help keep stuff off the front page? if good work goes uncommented and is mindlessly -1'd, then it disappears.detritus
- i generally upvote all work shown just to encourage people to postscarabin
- ganging up on people online because you simply disagree w/their opinion is also a little bit immature imhoPonyBoy
- same with mugsscarabin
- who da fuck downvotes mugs? that's just rude as hell and wrong.kona
- Jesus pony. Omg is a troll with multiple accounts. Give me a break. And yes i will attack his views. Like he attacks minefadein11
- oh pony. omg literally gangs up on people using his multiple accounts. does that it make it right he gets ganged up on? absolutely. f him.kona
- crazy times we are living in - expect some strong opinions. One things for sure the right are whiney little bitches when things are going bad for themfadein11
- upvoted for QBN karmafadein11
- I haven't mentioned OMG once here, clowns... only Georges. Now get back to honking your noses and clicking that downvote button.PonyBoy
- @kona my mug was downvoted and ridiculed. I suppose it's because people disagree with my radical POV and opinions? maybe i post whine about downvotes too much?monospaced
- @PonyBoy, are you surprised people are assuming you're talking about omg, really?monospaced
- Yes—given I didn't say a word about omg. What's funny is how hung up you guys are over one user—Get your torches and pitchforks—ONE user has upset the masses!PonyBoy
- relax ... you didn't have to say omg, people assumed that because he's the most downvoted person here with a POV and opinions most everyone hatesmonospaced
- I said Georges, mono... point-blank specifically said 'Georges'. You guys brought up and once again are attacking omg... not me.PonyBoy
- And if you assume everyone is on your omg hate-bandwagon... you are sadly mistaken. I hate them about as much as I hate you, mono. <3PonyBoy
- You also said "or whoever" after saying Georges. Additionally, I never said anything about omg, and resent being lumped in with your "you guys" stuff :)monospaced
- And I don't believe for a second that you hate me like people hate omg. <3monospaced
- Look, if you can say it's beyond the "work" thread because of "like," then it's okay to go beyond "Georges" if he said "or whoever" okay? relax bromonospaced
- If you look close... you'll see I said I love you both, numbnuts. ;)
<3PonyBoy - So many downvotes.monospaced

also the shooting of the day thread. smugly cracking jokes about the death of innocent people on the flimsy grounds that it supports some political stance on gun control. it should fall under the politics clause
- btw, i support gun control, my suggestion does not come from any personal political biases but from a desire for qbn to be a better placeterry_cloth
- Rome wasn't built in a day - let's just enjoy the calm and peace that has returned after today's events.fadein11
- i haven't noted much jocularity in that thread — for me it serves as a somewhat grimly-ironic reminder of just How Fucked Up Things Are.detritus
- yea, the mods are on a roll today though, tryina harness this forward momentumterry_cloth
- please explain to me the irony of innocent people dying and i will explain to you your inappropriately timed political posturingterry_cloth
- if you wish to be obtuse, fine, but I clearly meant the tone of the thread and its title is the grim-irony, not the tragedies themselves.detritus
- Or, censor away. I thought you lot were against that sort of thing.detritus
- what a ridiculous distinction. it is one in the same, these are human beings we are talking about, often whose corpses are not yet cold and you want to tell meterry_cloth
- about irony. ridiculous, it is ambulance chasing and political posturing and nothing moreterry_cloth
- wow, he said "you lot". way to make my point detritusterry_cloth
- hahahaha, sorry, i love throwing 'you lot' out there. always gets a response. shallow of me, i apologise. a little.detritus
- Perhaps you misunderstand me - I merely think of that thread as being a grim and ever constant chronicle of Yet Another One.detritus
- I have not particularly noted, nor have engaged in (I think?) flippant discourse within it.detritus
- Yes, the title is terrible.
That's kind of the point.detritus - right, the whole point is to facetiously point out how violent america is. obvious political intent is obviousterry_cloth
- the title probably should have been "mass shooting of the day" so it didn't devolve into any old one-offmonospaced
- I started it in hopes of discussing the mass shootings (schools, theaters).monospaced
- Not necessarily America, dude. Just, statistically, sadly - yeah, more so. i'm not gloating over that, man.detritus
- And you imply facetious, not i.detritus
- "Yes, the title is terrible.
That's kind of the point."
-detritus
so what was your implication then?terry_cloth - ok mono, maybe your point wasn't to facetiously gloat and wax political but that's all anyone ever does in there so it should goterry_cloth
- normal people can discuss gun control in the politics thread and the people who post in your thread who to giggle about how violent america is can take that shiterry_cloth
- I.. i.. You're... You're..
wtf, man? You can't be that daft?detritus - -t to stormfront or somewhere else with like minded sick puppies who revel in the epidemic of gun deathsterry_cloth
- ok, bro. ^5!
'clinkdetritus - are you really going to attack my spelling and grammar now detritus lol, patheticterry_cloth
- wat? my 'daft' post was a response to 'so what was your implication then?' - i don't give a fig about your grammar or spelling. have you seen mine?!detritus
- I saw no error in terry's use of yourmonospaced
- oh, i see. well. . .i guess my point in quoting you was to say that even the name of the thread itself is facetious, doomed from the start to draw in all the siterry_cloth
- -ck puppiesterry_cloth
- but mono already addressed that in hindsightterry_cloth
- Terry, are you not aware of irony and how it can enforce the seriousness of an issue not diminish it. But I am British, it's a huge part of our culturefadein11
- i'm not interested in playing semantics, the 'if only the ___ had a gun" statements after every murder victim are politically motivated statements on gun controterry_cloth
- -ll. that's pretty much the entirety of the content in that thread, therefor the thread is political in nature and should fall under the new rule. if people wanterry_cloth
- -t an honest dialogue about gun controll than they should do that in the politics thread. the reality of the situation though is obvious. the people who consisterry_cloth
- -tantly post in that thread are doing so to be facetiousterry_cloth

an option to show a specific number of posts per page would be cool, could be useful for viewing heavy threads like the .gif thread on mobile.
- moldero1
Excluding off topic threads/posts from being highlighted on the front page would fix issues like Hillarys big-ol-titties on the front page,.
Because you do know that 1 day trolls will discover upvoting Marychains naked grandma S&M pics will be pretty hilarious.- They can't make it to the cover because they're in NSFW thread. I doubt that people will NSWF their own posts in SFW threads.ORAZAL
- ah so there's off topic AND nsfw? cool, I didn't realizemoldero
- Not sure if that was sarcasm. Off-topic is NSFW. We don't have the off-topic option. All new threads (not posts) should be on topic.ORAZAL
- not sarcasm brada,
off topic = non design related stuff
because this is supposed to be a design forum
nsfw = Not Safe For Work = big-o-tittiesmoldero - in that case, a NSFW tag would be a great idea as well. and excluding off topic AND nsfw from the homepage would be a good thingmoldero

how about a way to go neutral on a vote? once you click one you can only choose the other
