- Photoshop... lots of little changes in the interface, all annoyingBen99
- Its like they think ''people are paying a lot, lets make them feel they have new stuff by changing icons and shit''Ben99
- Not really.monospaced
- Fuck, if it was up to people like you it would still look like version 1. Get used to change.ArmandoEstrada
- have you seen the changes?Ben99
- I'm still on Photoshop 7 as I'm waiting until it's changed so much I'll have to relearn the whole thing again. Can you still adjust levels?Ianbolton

CS4 4 Life!
Phtotoshop and Illustrator do everything I'll ever need them to. InDesign may have some new features, but it's more than enough for one page ads and sub 10 page brochures / booklets / whatever.

I've had the subscription since last summer, getting the cheaper rate since i had CS6, and honestly, I wouldn't even realize I was paying for it if not for the monthly billing email.
Starting to use Illustrator a lot more now for a new personal project, I think as the year goes on I will definitely feel like I'm getting my money's worth. I still use Lightroom 5 that I purchased myself; I don't want to switch to the CC version just in case I ever get out of the membership, which I don't think I would for some time.
- inteliboy0
I use Indesign nearly everyday. Photoshop once a week. Illustrator once a month. Lightroom once a month. AE once a year.
cracking is very enticing. but am not a fucking teenage student anymore. will probably bite and go CC...

Affinity already launched their app. It's nice but nowhere near Adobe functionality. Plus, it only substitutes Illustrator, which is probably the app that has already plenty of alternatives. There's no competition for Indesign, every Photoshop competitor is so limited it looks like a toy in comparison. Apple has shown no interest in filling that gap by the lack of serious interest in it's "Pro" apps that could rival After Effects and Premiere (there's much more alternatives in this department but they're expensive as hell). Adobes best move was to buy Macromedia, resulting in a real monopoly for ever.
But I really want so see Affinity succeed, I think they're on the right track. I bought their software even though I rarely touch it. there's still some enhancements needed before I can make the final jump to it.

affinity is nearly here. then we can stick it to adobe big style

I'm back to CC.. paying the over priced 50$/month.
i wanted the latest programs and wanted to learn some new for the job.20$/month would be a much better price and Adobe would still make boat load of money.
at 50$/month with, let's say, 25K clients, they're racking in 1,250,000$ every fuckin month! For selling digital files! No physicial production of anything...!
anyways
- are you serious? are you a professional? how on earth can you complain at $50 a month - just add it onto one client job a monthfadein11
- month... I really hope you are being sarcasticfadein11
- why should a client be forced to pay $50 scam money to adobe? they really are cuntshans_glib
- I guess my point was the cost of software is easily absorbed by client jobs. Its fucking cheap.fadein11
- I have a full time job at a cie. I do for like 1000 to 3000$ a year in sideline jobs.benfal99
- 50$/month is way too much.benfal99
- u get two computer licenses per user. if you are only using one for work ask if u can use the second for when u work from homedeathboy
- inteliboy0
What version of CS are you guys running?
Am thinking of upgrading to CC... but then paying $50 a month for the rest of my working life doesn't feel like such a great thing...

Dont you just love it when you have heaps of work to do and you end up spending the whole day setting up your softwarez and just troubleshooting absolute nonsense, just to BEGIN your day.
Technology is great when it works but oh so frustrating when all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, it doesn't.

You can't even buy the regular version anymore? So, it's CC or piracy? I don't want to pirate it (fear of malware) and CC sounds like it doesn't work 100% of the time.
Maybe I'll stick with my CS5.
- you can still buy CS6, no?benfal99
- CC works 24/7 - never has in issue. You still download the apps - you are not working in the cloud lolfadein11
- Yeah, I know you are working locally. But still, I read a lot of complaints from people who can't sign in or whatever.nb
- works for memoldero
- You can still buy stand alone CS6.
http://www.adobe.com…ETM - got lotsa problems with signin and updates. iam outbenfal99
- What sucks is when they offer after effects CC so you go through the hassles of installing all your plugins only to see a few months later they've updated to after effects CC 2014 (that's the name seriously) and you have to do the whole process all over again. UGHdorkKn1ght
- Then they release After Effects CC 2014, a few months after CC comes out. They want you to install a completely new app and install your plugins all over again. wtf.dorkKn1ght

So, are there serious problems with Adobe CC? Just got a new computer, thinking about buying into the subscription. I use a lot of the apps and and wouldn't mind messing around in the ones I don't currently have.
The question is, do people have a lot of problems signing in? Does the software actually not work if you can't connect to a server? Because that is crazy and I don't have time to put up with that shit.
- I haven't. Yet.
Only a couple of months in, mind.detritus

copy indesign stuff into photoshop. Not photoshop to indesign. Worked perfectly in cs6 but seeming to blow up with multiple linked things now. Im exporting spreads but a pain in the ass when previous solution a couple seconds.
I'm having all kinds of issues with indesign/photoshop. Had 5 crashes yesterday just editing links. One crash made me have to reinstall all my plugins....
- oh, so sorry, misread!monospaced
- no worries, jsut wondering if there is some weird ass solution like uninstall CC indesign or what I tried idml from CCdeathboy
- I don't use plug-ins, but don't know if they might be the culpritmonospaced

anyone seeing indesign cc 2014 lock up when copying and pasting data from it into photoshop? Just locks up and begins to eat all the ram.
- you shouldn't be copy/pasting into ID from PS, that's just now how it worksmonospaced
- Try "Place" instead.monospaced
