Dogecoin Is One Step Closer to Being Real Money
"generosity has led to the seven-week-old Dogecoin becoming, far and away, the most widely traded virtual currency in the world."
"Canadian electronic currency exchange Vault of Satoshi announced that it will now support Dogecoin, making it far easier to convert the currency into U.S dollars."
" According to BitInfoCharts.com, dogecoins with the equivalent of $212,500,000 USD were traded over the past 24 hours. To give a sense of how ridiculous that transaction volume is, the total value of every dogecoin in existence is only around $60,300,000."
http://mashable.com/2014/02/01/d…
so volume!
- ukit20
High volume because each Dogecoin is worth such a small amount.
I think it's more helpful to look at the total value of money being traded than the number of coins, right?
- read above quote maybe?ZOOP
- I understand what you're saying tho, it's right there brohamZOOP

There's Going To Be A Dogecoin Car At Talladega http://www.businessinsider.in/Th…

Never watched NASCAR until... Dogecoin!
During the All Star vote I posted a way to make voting more efficient. We dominated the vote so well, they changed the vote to a limit of 50 per user per day. Later they added captcha to slow the voting down. In the end we destroyed the contest, Josh Wise won with the largest vote total in the history of the contest and beat out the former winner Danica Patrick (winner of the previous two years) with 5 million votes to her 3 million votes. This win resulted in the second race (May 4th Talladega was the first) that the number 98 car was wrapped in the dogecoin theme. amaze.
We bought over 5,000 shirts from PPR (Phil Parsons Racing) to fully sponsor the second Talladega race this year, making this the third race this year to feature Dogecoin on the number 98 car. This car was not previously sponsored and helps bring an entirely new audience to NASCAR.
Here's the Talladega video that made us all very proud, the first time a sport with 74 million fans saw the future; digital currency:
The crew shirt replicas (I have one!) that sponsored the October 19th race at Talladega.
I believe in Bitcoin just as much, but Dogecoin is simply more fun to be a part of, I promise you there is enough room on the moon for everyone. Please join us! :)

The currency's popularity and value are rapidly growing; the baseline price on January 7, 2014 was approximately 4600 DOGE to 1 United States dollar. As of January 20, Dogecoin is trading on cryptocurrency exchanges at an average high of approximately 0.00000260 BTC per DOGE, or about 500 DOGE to 1 USD. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog…

From Dec. 30th:
"The doge meme is all about over-the-top positivity and optimism, and dogecoin was started in pursuit of fun and laughter, not greed."Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus told us in an email he was amazed by the project.
"I've NEVER seen something like this before in cryptocurrency. Usually when something gets hacked the common response is for everyone to call the people who got hacked 'idiots'. To me, this is incredible."
http://www.businessinsider.com/o…
My point all along, if efforts like this (not just dogecoin) are to succeed, it won't be from pessimists. Not only was the concept saved, it's less than two months old and practically exploding, having grow nearly by a factor of ten in the last two weeks.
"Look, Mr. Potter, it's no skin off my nose, but you can't keep laughing off this Baily Park anymore. Look at it." :P
- and that's the definition of a bubble...people jump on second tier ideas/companies after first shoots upformed
- <and then another, and yet another are created, until you have so many the platform is too widespread for one to matterZOOP
- single crypto to be any major determining factor.ZOOP
- this isn't the stock market, if a stock fell prey to what China did, it would be done, Bitcoin proves otherwiseZOOP
- what's more, this shows the feasibility of user-based insurance against theft, self-protecting currency :DZOOP
