    From Dec. 30th:
"The doge meme is all about over-the-top positivity and optimism, and dogecoin was started in pursuit of fun and laughter, not greed."

Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus told us in an email he was amazed by the project.

"I've NEVER seen something like this before in cryptocurrency. Usually when something gets hacked the common response is for everyone to call the people who got hacked 'idiots'. To me, this is incredible."

My point all along, if efforts like this (not just dogecoin) are to succeed, it won't be from pessimists. Not only was the concept saved, it's less than two months old and practically exploding, having grow nearly by a factor of ten in the last two weeks.

"Look, Mr. Potter, it's no skin off my nose, but you can't keep laughing off this Baily Park anymore. Look at it." :P
