would love to see this on a phone or tablet!
69p or 99c a pop and you'd make a fair bit...
great little game, really addictive too.

i'll have some feedback for you in the dev group soon, when I can focus on it and provide something worth while. Just downloaded ver 0.72
- mantrakid0
sweet - it has a shitty bug that makes the teleporter not work when you continue after game over, but the teleporter is wack right now anyway. The version im working on right now will have much more going on if you want to hold off. I should have it up later today.

hey guys, new version with some better introduction, better enemy balancing, more features & bugfixes up at:
Would love any input on the latest build as it takes a lot of your feedback into account.
Hugs

ok, one thing straight from the off is getting rid of the tutorial at the beginning after the first time of dying. constantly having to go over that is a little frustrating, dont get me wrong, its a well needed introduction, and i love the improvements thus far.
keep it going!

Sweet dude, thanks I am prepping for that already. Thinking maybe a "Tutorial" toggle on the home screen that gets turned off if you've done it once already, but can be re-enabled on the home screen in case you have a stroke or something.
Was the tutorial helpful you think?

What's in a Name?
14 JANUARY - 3030...Apparently everything. I recently discovered that the name "Sprout" is already trademarked and I run the risk of legal trouble if I am to continue with it's usage. I have already chosen a new name for the game and have developed the new logo which I will be presenting officially at the end of the week.
I wouldn't have got to where I was with this Steam page without the amazing support of you guys so I need to ask your advice for my next step. I have 2 roads to take at this point and I want to give you every single ounce of my respect and ask your opinion of what road I should take.
Road One: Re-launch Sprout with it's new name, logo, and an updated trailer on Greenlight as a SEPARATE project. This means I will lose the current comments, votes and announcements I've made so far. If you've voted YES for Sprout, you would have to vote YES again when it appears on Greenlight with the new name. This is the path I would prefer to take as it gives me a chance to start fresh, and though I would lose the existing votes, I have a feeling it wont take long to get back to where I am.
Road Two: Simply rename this project with the new name / reupload a new video, logo, etc. This means I can keep the comments, votes, and announcements on this page, but it also means that I don't have a second chance at the home page, which may make a difference. (when i launched this page, we were buried on the home page as Steam was going through some temporary server issues, so Sprout didn't get the traffic it could have normally, unfortunately).
Let me know what you think. My choice is Road One, but if that is at all offensive to you guys, I want to avoid it. If you don't think it's a problem to vote again, I am infinitely in your debt and will make sure the relaunch is awesome, and you are made aware of it.
Thank you so much for your support to this point, I appreciate every single comment and vote. The game is coming together so nicely & I look forward to sharing the public demo with you once it's ready.
Infinite Respect,
Nate- go with road two, learn from the mistake and don't let it happen on the next game.cannonball1978
- Thanks cannonball - do you find it it offensive to go road 1? Whats ur reason for Rd.2?mantrakid
- At this point I'd say name is not as important as momentumcannonball1978

anyone interested there's a 33% sale on construct
- what are you using for this game mantrakid?lodef
- Construct 2! :) Its a good prog but to be honest, im hitting some walls. I wish i was this deep in Unity already..mantrakid
- I'm neck-deep in unity. Balls-deep actually.cannonball1978
- sick, whats the learning curve (ermagherd) like?mantrakid
- You want to have a working knowledge of c# otherwise it frustrates you to not know how to do things and you give up on ideascannonball1978
- some good ideas. If you keep within the bounds of the program though you can put out some interesting things.cannonball1978
- You'll also want an external 3d editor to produce assets (I'm using Blender)cannonball1978

start with a new project page and name, logo. just explain what is happening clearly on both pages. no one will mind, even contact some people individually so its all legit and everyone is aware. maybe release a new version with the new page so there is a new direction for the comments as well. There is some positive interest so use it as a chance revitalise that.
- mantrakid0
Thanks lodef. I definitely am going to go that route now. I think with the relaunch, a new trailer, logo, all focussed on showcasing more of what the game offers, it will be a better response overall. Gives me a chance to promote something new before the actual public demo too, so it's kinda like a double whammy.
I appreciate your insight dude!!

If you haven't' already done it, a zoom out feature would be nice to have to remember where visited planets were.

Any thoughts about an iPad port?. I could see this go down really well on a big touch screen.
- ALready been working on ipad port. ;) Touch screen controls need to be refined, but it's in the plans for sure.mantrakid

good new direction with the name, I think it represents the essence of the game much better. You seem to be making the right sort of improvements, the gun has improved for example, that's good because gamers like guns.
Just one detail I was wondering about was the map thing. IMO it should be something you can find in the game world rather than an upgrade. It would encourage exploration. I haven't played the latest ver but 1000 things is a lot to get.
- mantrakid0
Thanks lodef, i think it helps the essence better too.
The gun has gone under some improvements but there will definitely be more.. Im thinking there will be selectable gun types, and there will be 'powerups' for the gun while you play.. so you start with a basic 1 shooter, but fund powerups that boost it while you play, like 1942, etc.
I totally know what you're saying about the map.. i really wanted the map to feel like an achievement tho. I know 1000 seems like a lot but honestly, if you can get to the first boss 3-4 times, and then die immediately after killing him, you'd have 1000 coins easy. Once I have the first gun upgrade I can do a run of just killing things mostly and end up with 500 coins in even a basic session. Plus I say first boss, but you kill the second boss and you get 250 coins just from him alone. Also there are diamonds hidden in asteroids -- 1 in 333 chance they appear, but even that is a huge boost if you're down by 250. I truly think by the time you care enough about getting the map, you will be able to get it within, say, a half hour to an hour of 'grinding' but the grinding is really just playing the game a couple times until you die.
Its funny cuz i was thinking of INCREASING the cost of stuff haha. :) now i will think much deeper on it. ;)
I think once everything is complete, the final stage before it's released will be to look at everything from a big picture standpoint and make sure everything is balanced and optimized to give the most fun so it never feels like a chore.. If that means dropping the price on shit, I can guarantee I'll make that call.
Thanks for the feedback homie, as always it means so much to me.
