Syria intervention plan fueled by oil interests, not chemical weapon concern
- inv0
I am not saying that they should go ahead and do the attack, but whats the alternative. Do the people who shout "no war" think that there should be no consequence for using chemical weapons?
And also, isn't there a difference between going to full war and performing a retaliation for crimes against humanity?
- Why would the USA retaliate FOR al quaida linked rebels? Why would Assad use chemical weapons in a war he was winning?eoin
- winning, when he knew it would be a line crossed? The US war machine commits crimes against humanity ALL THE FUCKING TIME.eoin

- Did you read this: http://www.theguardi…eoin
- Ok, see your point. Americans are hypocrites and they are protecting their own interest. Yes....inv
- ..But if proven correct, should the usage of chemical weapons be punished?inv
- What is the consequence, really? We're randomly dropping a missile somewhere to spank you. How does this help anyone?monkeyshine
- That would ideal if you know who did the attack. Remember WMD's? they jumped on assumption to wage war.yurimon
- Also ask why 5% of the world population has 25% of world prison population for victimless crimes?yurimon

inv, i would argue that its less of NO WAR, but more of who it is we are actually fighting, and having proof of why.
There is yet to be concrete evidence of who actually used chemical weapons. When you have options ranging from Syrian Government, Rebels, Al Qaida, Rebels armed with CW from Saudi's or the worst of all, a false flag operation instigated by any number of external powers who have their own vested interests in taking out the Syrian government.. I cant say that rushing into any kind of armed conflict is advisable, let alone legal.
In the worst case scenario, the US/Israel are complicit in the use of Chemical weapons in Syria, and these are the same people trumpeting the loudest for a military intervention.
I am not saying this is the case, what i am saying is that until there is some hard evidence which is agreed on by the international community, any country willing to "go it alone" is totally suspect in motive.

not to mention the hypocrisy of the US when this is their national past time..

Since Kerry is spending so much effort to push for the attack (in behalf of Israel) should we presume that he's going to be our next president?

Fucken humanity makes me sick at times. How anyone could just sit back and watch someone get their head cut off and scream "god is great", well I despair.
- I would ask the question as what is my collective roll in this mess. I dont see people doing much about it solving the problem.yurimon
